Postal votes for the Honiton St Michael’s by-election are being dispatched today and should begin arriving over the next few days.
Honiton St Michael's Conservative Candidate, Paul Carter says:
When yours arrives, I am asking for your support.
I am standing because I care deeply about Honiton and want to deliver practical change for our town. Honiton has so much to be proud of, from our independent shops and weekend markets to our pubs, cafés, community organisations and the people who work so hard to keep our town going.
But too much of what makes Honiton special is under pressure. Our High Street has seen too many empty and boarded-up shops. Residents still need proper access to face-to-face banking. Train and bus services are not reliable enough. Council taxpayers are being asked to pay more while expecting better value and stronger scrutiny from East Devon District Council.
My priorities are clear:
- Deliver a Banking Hub and protect access to local banking services.
- Revitalise Honiton High Street, support local traders and bring more footfall back into the town centre.
- Push for better train and bus services for Honiton residents.
- Challenge wasteful spending and fight to keep Council Tax as low as possible.
- Stand up for youth football and the community facilities that bring our town together.
- Oppose Labour’s plans to divide Devon and make sure Honiton has a strong voice in any future local government arrangements.
I am not standing for the sake of politics. I am a local Farm Manager who wants to listen, work hard and get things done for Honiton.
This election will be close, and every vote could make the difference. Postal votes can easily be put to one side and forgotten, so when yours arrives, please complete it and return it as soon as possible.
On Thursday 13 August, please use your postal vote for me, Paul Carter and help deliver a stronger voice and a practical plan for Honiton St Michael’s.
It's clear, the Conservatives CAN win here, and deliver change for Honiton.
Make sure to use your postal vote for Paul R Carter, the Local Conservatives candidate.
